Recently I was trying to set up my evolution mail to retrieve my pop mail and smtp for sending my mails. This is what I finally ended up doing to get it up and running.
I had to set up a primary email account with bell sympatico.
This is my user name(email address complete) and the password of the email account is needed for accessing account.
The pop server is pophm.sympatico.ca
Security is SSL encryption which means the port is 995
The smpt server is smtphm.sympatico.ca
Security to use is TLS encryption and the port to use is 25
User name is the primary email address complete “example@sympatico.ca”
And everything worked like a charm.
With evolution make sure you install “spamassasin” to filter your junk mail.
